Travel Tips:
1. Last Minute Deals You can often find great deals on cruises, vacation packages and charter flights by checking for last minute deals. Many of these companies sell out the remainder of their bookings at fire sale prices just to fill them up.

2. Cheap Rail Passes When traveling in Europe, it is cheaper to buy individual rail passes if you are only going to one or two countries, instead of buying a Eurail pass that covers eighteen. The individual one, such as the Swiss Pass or the France Rail/Drive, can give you much more for a better price

3. Carry Photos of Your Children Keep a colour picture of your child's face in your purse or wallet in case he or she gets lost in a crowded airport or shopping area.

4. Advance Seat Assignment When buying airline tickets online, call the airline to get seat assignment immediately if no seat assignment is given. If you arrive at the ticket counter without seat assignment on an overbooked flight, you probably will get bumped off the flight and forced to take a later flight - which can be several hours or even a full day later. Due to overbooking, getting seat assignment in advance can reduce the risk of getting 'bumped'!

5. Creative Packing When traveling to a destination where I know I will doing a lot of shopping, I pack a collapsible suitcase or duffel bag in my checked luggage. It doesn't take up much room and when returning home, I fill it with my dirty laundry and pack my new stuff or any breakable items in my regular suitcase. Or you could just pack your things in a medium suitcase that fits inside a larger suitcase - either way you'll have two suitcases available and only have to carry one to your destination.
